Poacher Dariya’s conviction upheld

The
district Sessions Judge, Katni, today dismissed the appeal of Dariya,
s/o. Juglal Bawaria, and upheld his conviction ordered by the Judicial
Magistrate, Katni.
The Judicial Magistrate had convicted
Dariya in a case involving 2 tiger traps, a deer skin and antlers in
July 2009. The prosecution of the case was handled by Ms. Manjula
Srivastav, Wildlife Protection Society of India’s lawyer in Katni.
