26 March 25
Chandrapur:
The chargesheet in the high-profile tiger poaching case in Rajura
forest range in Central Chanda division was filed before the judicial
magistrate first class (JMFC), Rajura, on Tuesday. The investigation
has revealed a well-coordinated, pan-India wildlife crime syndicate,
with tiger parts being smuggled through the northeastern states to
Myanmar and ahead into China's illegal wildlife market.
Over the past two months, a multi-agency probe, led by Special
Investigation Teams (SITs) at local, state, and national levels,
meticulously uncovered the vast criminal network linked to the poaching
and illegal trade.
